Well, now we have a full video of the same, and it shows how the tiny but efficient Jimny managed to pull the heavy Fortuner and a 6-ton flatbed recovery vehicle. The video highlights the importance of having proper recovery gear and snow chains in vehicles driving in snow and icy road conditions.
Jimny pulls Toyota Fortuner and flatbed truck
The video of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny helping in the recovery of a Fortuner and a flatbed has been shared on YouTube by BRH Expeditions on their channel. The video starts off with the presenter showing a number of vehicles, including a Maruti Fronx, Swift, and other hatchbacks, getting snow chains on their tires. Following this, the presenter then goes to the main road of the town where he and his friends saw a first-generation Toyota Fortuner struggling to pull a recovery flatbed truck.
It can be noted that the Toyota Fortuner was trying very hard to pull the flatbed truck, and it even had two people standing on the side steps to add weight. The presenter then highlights that the Fortuner was swerving between the lanes while attempting this recovery. Following this, he suggests that he can also help in pulling both of these vehicles and soon after this brings his Jimny in reverse and lines it up with the Fortuner and truck. Next up, he takes out the strap from his luggage and attaches it with the tow hook on the front left of the Fortuner and the rear right hitch of his Jimny.
After this, he gets behind the wheel of his SUV and starts driving it. However, unlike he planned, the Jimny also starts swerving across the lanes. Soon after releasing this error, the presenter then goes back and shifts the tow hitch from the rear left to right and once again attempts the pull. This time around, he becomes successful and starts pulling both the truck and the type 1 Toyota Fortuner. The video then shows that after both of the vehicles were recovered, the Jimny driver then starts helping the recovery flatbed truck in crossing the icy mountain road.

Next up, the presenter shows that the truck driver thanked him for helping him in climbing up the icy hill. After this, the Jimny driver comes back to the town and sees the same Fortuner owner helping a Mahindra Quanto SUV which also got stuck. He offers his strap for the job, and the Fortuner was then able to pull out the Mahindra SUV. Following this, the presenter then spots a Maruti Alto 800 driver stuck on the road. He states that the Alto driver has been stuck for more than half an hour, so he will be helping him. After this, he helps the owner of the Alto, and he also gets pulled out to the top of the hill.

As mentioned a million times before, snow chains and recovery equipment are extremely crucial for safe travel during winter adventures in India or any part of the world. For those who may not be aware, snow chains provide enhanced traction on slippery roads, which in turn reduce the risk of accidents and getting stuck in snow.
